Are You Ready When The Power Goes Out? (August 10, 2006)
Sharon Pa, August 10, 2006 - Winner International launches its third new product of the summer - the "Power Out Kit". The power out kit contains a handheld flashlight, an FM radio, a lantern that uses a bright LED light, and eight batteries. With the unpredictable weather experienced in all parts of the USA, during all seasons, Winner wanted to provide a simple, packaged product that could get an individual or family through the unexpected storm."Sometimes its the simplest things that we have the hardest time keeping track of or even keeping the batteries fresh in. We wanted to simplify this for the consumer by packaging their needs into one simple product. Its a good idea to keep the kit in your basement, or whatever room you use as shelter - should you need to retreat there during a storm or tornado watch" said Karen Winner Hale, CEO of Winner International. "We're recommending you consider one to keep in your vehicle if you're a frequent traveller."
The kit combines basic necessities and provides some light and communication from the outside world when and where you need it most. The extra batteries fit all three products contained within the kit.
Winner International is best known for its steering wheel lock "The Club"

"The Wheel Club", like its sister product "The Club" is a bright red and acts first as a visual deterrent. No one can miss seeing it locked onto the outside of a tire and wheel. It fits onto wheels in seconds and is made of steel. It is already available for sale in several retail outlets.

“CLUB” TWIN HOOKS & QUAD HOOK SYSTEM
SHARON, PA August 9, 2006 - Winner International Inc., maker and marketer of The Club® vehicle-anti-theft device, today announced that in an opinion released on May 31, 2006, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit denied Lawman Armor Corporation’s petition for hearing and reaffirmed their prior ruling of February 22, 2006 in favor Winner International Inc. resulting from a ruling issued by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, granting Winner International Inc.’s Motion for Summary Judgment of Non-Infringement and determining that Winner International’s Twin Hook and Quad Hook systems did not infringe on Lawman’s 621 design Patent (U.S. Patent No. 357,621).
According to Gerald J. Trontel, President, “the Appeals Court affirmed the District Court prior rejection of the contentions of Lawman Armor Corporation, manufacturer and marketer of the “2 HOOKS” , that Winner’s products infringed on the licensed patent of Lawman.
Judge Robert F. Kelly originally determined that “Lawman’s proposed points of novelty were found in prior art and that Lawman failed to create a material issue of fact regarding the point of novelty test and accordingly summary judgment was appropriate.” Winner has reaffirmed its intent to aggressively and continuously defend its patents, products and Winner’s other intellectual property.

The Club DNA Vehicle Etch Kit (April 26, 2006)
What does DNA have to do with deterring auto theft? Winner International introduces "The Club DNA Vehicle Etch Kit" to serve as a theft deterrent and a means to help track vehicles should one be stolen. In this case DNA not only refers to the unique codes used, but also serves as an acronym of Dual Chemistry Numeric Code Adjustment.
The unique system works in two ways - it etches glass (windows) and metal (in concealed locations). An etched window loses value as chop shops want clean windows to sell off as parts. Other body parts such as doors and hoods also lose value if they're marked and traceable. The system uses a unique code (hence the name DNA) assigned by the company rather than a VIN. The codes will be kept in a database at Winner to identify a vehicle if found, and returned to its rightful owner.
The Club DNA vehicle etch kit is a do-it-yourself product and includes everything needed to complete an etching for 1 vehicle, including 6 labels for marking metal, 8 glass etching stencils, etch cream, latex gloves, the instruction sheet and a registration form. The manufacturer's suggest retail is $39.99. They are currently available in some auto parts stores, or by calling the company directly at 1-800-527-3345.
Winner International is best know for its anti-theft device, The Club - the highly visible, bright red steering wheel lock. Winner International focuses on bringing consumer products to market that are easy to use, highly effective, and most of all, affordable.
